Taylor Swift became famous as a artist and singer in the beginning of 2001, with stories of love and loss. Swift began to develop an interest in musical instruments as a young person and swiftly progressed from participating in children's shows before making her first appearance the front of a crowd. Swift was just 11 when she first performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. The following year she started writing her own songs, and also picked up the guitar. She drew inspiration from the popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of being a tween and feeling alienated. Swift was thirteen when her parents made the decision to let go of their Pennsylvania farm and relocate into Hendersonville Tennessee. She could spend all of her time to reaching out to label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
